Muscle & Fitness Magazine: Deputy Editor
Top edits most content in the magazine. Assigns to and edits a stable of contributing writers and junior staff. Assists the Editor-in-Chief in planning the yearly editorial calendar. Writes cover stories, contributes to the feature well and various other monthly departments. Works with the art department to help conceptualize the look of feature stories. Wrote and edited news items, profiles, and feature stories for monthly print publication. Responsibilities ran the gamut from the front of the book to the back. Conceived, pitched, and wrotes feature stories, including several cover stories per year, and assisted in the planning of the yearly editorial calendar. Assigned and top edited guest columnists. Worked with the art department to help conceptualize the look of feature stories. Served as a technical adviser on photo shoots. Contributed to muscleandfitness.com, with occasional contributions to mensfitness.com.
